Editorial Standards
Medical Content Policy
How HormoneStacks sources, reviews, and maintains the accuracy of health information. Our commitment to evidence-based content you can trust.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
HormoneStacks publishes content in the "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) category as defined by Google's Search Quality Evaluator Guidelines. We take this responsibility seriously. Inaccurate health information can lead to real harm, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity.
We are an educational resource, not a medical provider. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or replace the judgment of qualified healthcare professionals. Our goal is to give men the knowledge they need to have informed conversations with their doctors and make better decisions about their health.
Evidence-Based Sourcing
We prioritize peer-reviewed clinical trials from PubMed, NIH, and the Endocrine Society. When citing research, we link directly to the study abstract or DOI. Anecdotal evidence is labeled as such and never presented as clinical fact.
Medical Review Process
Every pillar article and protocol guide is reviewed by a licensed healthcare professional with clinical experience in hormone optimization. Reviewer credentials (NPI number, board certifications, and degrees) are verified and publicly listed on their author profile page.
Regular Content Audits
All core content is reviewed and updated on a 6-month cycle. When FDA regulatory changes, new clinical trial data, or updated practice guidelines emerge, affected articles are flagged for immediate review. Every article displays its last-updated date.
Expert Contributors
Our editorial team includes health writers with backgrounds in exercise science, pharmacology, and clinical research. Guest contributors are vetted for relevant expertise and are required to disclose any conflicts of interest.
Transparency in Limitations
We clearly state when evidence is limited, when a topic is controversial, or when expert opinion diverges from available research. We do not overstate the certainty of any claim. Off-label use is always identified as such.
Advertising & Conflicts of Interest
HormoneStacks does not accept payment from pharmaceutical companies, compounding pharmacies, or supplement brands in exchange for favorable coverage. If we recommend a product category, we explain our criteria. Affiliate relationships, if any, are disclosed.
How We Write Content
Every article on HormoneStacks follows a standardized editorial workflow designed to maximize accuracy and minimize the risk of misinformation.
- Research Phase: The assigned writer conducts a literature review using PubMed, Cochrane Library, and primary sources from the Endocrine Society, AUA, and relevant specialty organizations. A minimum of 5-10 peer-reviewed sources are identified for pillar content.
- Drafting: The article is written following our style guide, which requires clear distinction between established clinical evidence, emerging research, and expert opinion. All dosage ranges cited must reference published clinical trial protocols or established clinical practice guidelines.
- Medical Review: A credentialed healthcare professional reviews the draft for clinical accuracy, appropriate context, and adequate safety warnings. The reviewer has final authority on all medical claims.
- Publication: Approved articles are published with the author byline, medical reviewer attribution, publication date, and any relevant disclaimers or disclosures.
- Maintenance: Published articles enter the 6-month review cycle. The editorial team monitors for new research, regulatory changes, or reader feedback that may require updates between scheduled reviews.
Correction Policy
If we identify an error in published content - or if a reader brings one to our attention - we act immediately. Factual errors are corrected within 24 hours and an editor's note is appended to the article documenting the change. Material corrections (those that could affect a reader's health decisions) trigger an immediate medical re-review of the entire article.
To report an error, contact us at corrections@hormonestacks.com. We read every submission and respond within 48 business hours.
